Sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi is back in Muzeon

On October 7, the sculpture by Dmitriy Ryabichev was opened after restoration. Ambassador of India to The Russian Federation D. B. Venkatesh Varma, Head of the Moscow City foreign economic and international relations Department Sergey Cheremin and Gorky Park Director Pavel Trekhleb visited the opening ceremony.

The sculpture has not been restorated for over 10 years. Gorky park art restorers carried out a number of procedures, including cleaning, restoring patina, waxing and conservation.

The restoration has been completed by Mahatma Gandhi’s birthdate, celebrated on October 2.
